Yeah, I figured if I was going to spend the money on the s/c, I wanted to make it worth while by running 16psi vs 8 or 10psi. So in order to do that I decided to build the bottom end. I ran nitrous for a while, mostly the 125 which did fine. The plugs for these cars have a tough time surviving above the 125 shot, you will have to run race gas and really back off the timing for the 150 shot.

A safe combo... So did the stock bottom end survive? I'm guessing a failure is not what prompted you to build it? Not trying to hassle you just wondering if the stock block held up under 450rwhp and for how long. I'm running a 100 n2o shot and wondering if the stock 4.6L block can handle a 150 without fragmenting something.

thats about what ima shoot for with my car 7.20 7-30 rang... i just got back from the dyno i only managed to get 405 at the wheels but when you look at the chart you can see where the converter is slipping bad and it was killing it on the.. on the street tho it pulls like crazy... i donno mabe the dyno wasnt putting enough load on the car to make it lock up... could be in the tune tho

Now it runs 6.80's in the 1/8th with the built bottom end. But when I had the stock bottom end I could run 7.30's. You could run faster---but for how long? 7.30 was with a safe combo that would survive.

very nice car, i got a Question how quick can an auto 05 gt run in the 8th on the stock bottem end, im fixing to push mine and try to get around 7.00-7.20. or faster. my quickest time so far is 8.29 on stock rims with nitto drag radials and no dyno tuning. now i have cams and paxton ho kit, and some suspension mods

Fighting Smokin01SS battles are yeah? He was the one talkin crap that he couldn't back up. But what about you, do you street drive your car? Got any links or videos? I want to see your car in action. Can you run a 10.40 on DRs? Your brothers GT, how much boost? Maybe your brothers KB has 8psi? Maybe he has 20psi? huge difference. No habla espanol.
