I know how that is. I trashed a th350 turbo trans built to hold 800hp over $1400 tranny in less then a month. someone did not put that thing together very good.

I was running on the wastegate only and that is around 5-6psi... the power didn't kill it though the RPM did. I was testing out my new triflow cams from SHOnutperformance.com and right as I hit 8500rpm I herd a sound simaliar to a arriated power steering system. and immediately got off the gas... the next day the tranny went.

generally they hold up well? I guess if you never pass 4K they would do ok but this particular car happens to have about 400whp

Generally, the AX4S automatic trans in the SHO is very reliable. snotrocket79's experience is quite typical of these cars. They hold up well, especially considering the driving habits they are subject to . . .

yup typical ford. my 94 sho is at 190,000 its still alive wouldnt be supprised if mine looks that way soon. oh well for 500 bones i cant ask for anything more i waqlked all over my friends integra it was quite comical

It finally ate itself. Keep in mind that the first clip was me cleaning out the metal so I could make a attempt at going to the dyno. The second half was about 60 miles later and happened after the PCM slammed the tranny into first at 35mph
