Your right, I checked with my engine builder, and he said this is exactly what you do right after you obviously just built an engine--right out of the "I just OBVIOUSLY built my motor" hand book. Homo. If that thing is turbo and it takes that long to run through the gears after you did a 7000rpm clutch drop, you might want to try a new car.
