I had a stage 2 wrx and sold it for an sti lol no it cant be a stock turbo to hang with the evo... plus evos love the freeway damn 2 liters

I would still have to disagree that even GOD's tuning on a stock turbo WRX will not hang with a Stock Evo IX period. I race my buddies WRX with an upgraded turbo and still pull on it after 4th.

I never had a wrx hang with my IX when it was stock. or since. Even rolling on the highway where driver skill is not usually the determining factor. I've never seen it go the other way.

A stage two wrx with a good tune is just as fast if not faster than an STi. I think it is quite possible for a stage 2 (assuming) wrx to hang with a STOCK evo. Again driver and tune come into major play here.

That WRX was NOT on stock turbo.

Not bad, considering that the 05 WRX is only a 2.0. I'll admit, EVO is also a 2.0 motor but the HP is almost 50hp more than the stock 2.0 WRX. And to top it off the turbo housing on a 9 is slightly larger compared to an evo8. So hats off to the WRX for keeping up with a stock 9.
