I think it sounds nice. You should always buy cam gears along with your cams. Like Rugby said -2/ 2 is the norm to start with. Can't remember if that's exhaust/intake or intake/exhaust though . Ask around you'll find out. People that are saying it sounds like crap wouldn't be saying that if they heard him launch it down at a track.

yes, having cam gears does matter. why would you buy a cam set w/o a set of adjustable cam gears too? usually right out of the box, depending on the cams, -2/+2 adjustment on the cam gears is pretty good. then you can tune from there.

have an 05 SRT with Crower 264 cams, for some reason my idle is the same as it was when i had the stock cams, I dont have the lumpy idle like this car, but i want it to, any ideas how i can accomplish this goal of having my car sound like a beast? p.s. i dont have aftermarket cam gears if that matters at all
