no you dont have to redline the car and street tires dont need to be smoked at all, just turned over a couple a times. if it wasnt relivent then he wouldnt have recorded it. never seen street tires go through the water either. good run, sucky burnout.

welli wasnt talking abou the vdub in particular, i was actually aiming towards the gsr motor. and cant say that i believe that a 1.8t GTI is limited to 118, cause i had a 02 gti and when i got it form the dealer it did 151 topped out with a exhaust and boost controller. someone thought it was chipped but they searched the ecu and nothing showed, so it was stock ecu, no chip ir tune.

10.2 at 130! for that supra, I run 9.5 at 148 on my 2000' unrestricted ZX-12R ninja with just exhaust and air filter upgrades with a tune. I know a well ridden modded busa will run the same as me, so none of those cars would stand a chance to these two bikes, modded and RIDDEN WELL. That's a supra, and they have the same motor as sc300/gs300. Hey titanman, a stock 1.8 4cly has a top speed of 118, not 135.. The stock turbo VW 1.8's do 135.

cnote you dont have to redline the car to get a good burnout in a car that actually has power. its not a burnout contest.
