Went to steeper gears but didn't change speedo

Check my videos. My stock 91 rotating assembly, TFS stage one cam, Edelbrock RPM head, Edelbrock RPM 2 intake and a powerdyne with 7psi and 3.73 gears tops out in fourth gear at 143mph. I do have the dyno sheets and video's. People who talk about that which they no nothing about, should just keep their mouths shut. A completely stock 5.0 motor with 12psi and 3.73 gears will top out at 167+mph in fifth gear. That's a fact I do know.

that car could with that stuff done could not do that. get a new speedo gear then post another vid

its a t-5 world class, slightly built, just recently actually, but same ratios. tires are 225/50/15s. before i had the cop hit me with radar for top speed, i had another cop do it at 35,45, and 55 mph. at 35 it was accurate within 1 or 2 mph, at 45, it was off by like 5, and 55 it was off by like 8. sais im goin faster than i am. like you said, i just need to get it recalibrated, but i dont have the money lately, so it dont bother me much. just kinda keeps me from getting tickets i guess...ironic, i just got one for the first time in the two years ive had the car

dude, just set your cruise control at 65mph(nice safe speed) and have your buddy radar you again and see if your speedo is accurate or not. If its not, take it to the dealer and see about getting it recalibrated for the gear thats been put in it. I have a calculater program to show mph and rpm in each gear according to final drive and gear ratios but I would need your transmissions ratio in each gear to use it. Do you know if its still got a stock T-5 trans or a world class T-5, or a Tremec? If you know what trans is in it then I can find the ratios and run it through and email you a copy of the results....Oh, and your tire size is needed as well.

if anybody could give me a better guess to the top speed for both 3.55s or 3.73s, i would appreciate it just to know. im thinking they are 3.73s. like i said, when i was radared, the speedo was about an inch past 140, and i had it at around 5400 rpm, give or take a lil. this time it was almost 2 inches past, and was around 6200-6300, give or take. i was more watching the oil pressure, road, and fuel pressure, shifting, steering, and holding my phone all at once more than watching the rpms to give an exact number. but ya, if anyone has top speed numbers, please let me know, im sick of guessing.

honestly, im not sure if they are 3.73s or 3.55s . i bought the car with h/c/i, and since then, the motor and everything on it is completly diffrent, but im not sure what gear the guy had in it.i had my cop friend hit me radar a couple months ago, and i pulled the rpm to about 5400 or somewhere around that, and he said i got 141 mph. this time i brought it to about 6200, getting either braver or dumber, whichever one. and when i was radared, the speedo was about an inch past 140, give or take, so whatever the right speed is, your guess is as good as mine.

change your speed gear for those 3:73"s

Ok, either that thing is alot faster than it should be with 11 lbs, or you've put a deeper gear in the rear end and havent corrected the speedometer for the change.
