HP per engine weight actually matters a lot more.

I highly doubt it'll handle 2500hp with the maximum bore. I'll have to see if I can get any of the guys from GM Performance Parts to jump in on the t hread and answer questions.

Ford Modular motors like he said are the 4.6/5.4 V8 (also the 5 litre camme r) and the V10 but they are OHC motors. not pushrod OHV motors like the s mall block here. they are SOHC and DOHC motors and the design has been ar ound since the early 90's. infact the Lincoln mark VIII had the DOHC 4V 4 .6 in 1993 but for some reason import lovers seem to say America doesn't h ave DOHC V8s! Sweet block I have heard of the LSX but wasn't sure what it was. must have been fun designing all that into one block.
