Just goes to show how fast things can go wrong at the track and on the road for that matter.

No, i reviewed this about 20 times (being an SCCA Official) The Honda had a good line, and agreed that the Porsche went wide, and did oversteer almost completely off the track...the Honda was behind, and had 100% sight of the Porsche, but he pushed, hoping to pressure him to stay off track until he was by...i see it all the time, and even thought the Porsche driver in this video isnt the best with his lines, he was not at fault.

the 911 driver forced his way around the outside of the s2k and then when he made if back he was hitting the brake all threw the turn. im not a pro at track driving but arent you not suspose to hit brake during the middel of a turn??? it was all the 911 fault.

I rewatched the vid. BOTH ARE AT FAULT. The porsche lost control and the honda tried to pass a car that was out of control. idiot

both fudged up since both were worried more about their egos rather than giving each other some space.

911 is at fault, end of story. An experienced driver would have realized that he didnt have the space needed to pass the s2000 on the straight and maintain a decent line through the upcoming turn. An experienced driver would have tucked in behind the s2k and passed him after the turn. Coming in that hot on the outside is asking for trouble. Only way the s2k would be at fault is if there were multiple classes on the track and he was supposed to let the porsche pass but it looked like a regular old track day to me.

To the people who said the s2000 was at fault your amatures and shouldn't be posting. Have you ever been in a real race with a helm on? The 911 shouldn't have pushed the car so much in the turn it was the 911's fault. The S2000 should have the right to cut in the corner like that. Thats how racing works. Obiously the 911 driver didn't know how to control the car.
