Diaphanein, I hope you do realize that the SRT4 probably puts down more horsepower at the wheels than the SRT8 does at the crank, in addition to it weighing about 1300 pounds less. I'm surprised the neon didn't walk it harder than it did. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on these cars.

Obviously those knocking the Charger need to pay closer attention to the audio: Clearly, the dumbass driving the Charger hits the rev limitter in an awful way (note the high output and sudden stall). No way would a well-driven SRT-4 Neon even come close to even a competently driven SRT-8 Charger. Those of you that can't afford the Charger having wet dreams that your piss-on Neon can compete - wake up, or at least wash your towel - you'll need it for a few more rounds.

Not hating on the skittle, those cars can be made extremely fast. At the end of the day though, I'd rather have the Charger. Awesome Neon though.

Badge on the Charger said HEMI - an SRT8 would have said SRT. I know the SR Ts - would love to add a Charger SRT8 to my stable.

I can't comment on the '00-'06 model neons since I never owned one, but a s tock '98 neon has a top speed of around 120 mph. I recently bought a stock '05 srt-4 and I hit the gov at around 157 mph. Hopefully I can have that removed when I upgrade the turbo.
