I owned a ZR1 1991. I've driven 3 different ones, they all ride the same to me. Never an issue mechanically. Just a window motor problem.

I can attest to that; I've driven several ZR1s and some run better than others. I think part of the problem is that they were so low production that many technicians don't see enough of them to associate some of the common quirks that these cars can have. Nonetheless, this particular car runs like a scolded dog.

I beleive the ZR-1 5.7L DOHC was designed by Lotus but assembled by Mercury Marine. There notorious for being inconsistant either way. Some run real strong and others don't. But it was sweet at the time and still a nice ride.

1994 Corvette ZR1 test drive and inspection. This car is an excellent example of a near flawless C4 ZR1. With just 17,000 miles on the clock, this car has lived the easy life, unlike a lot of its siblings who end up on track and autocross duty.
