I have a total of $4500 invested in the car. With some taller slicks and a few tweaks here and there I think it will be able to run some high 10s.

IT's a 1991 std hatch I bought for $50. Running a single cam d16z6 engine on about 26 psi. It's bast run that night was an 11.4@131.

When did he say it was untuned? I read "no power adders." Do you know what power adders are? I'll help you out here. 1. Turbocharger 2. Supercharger 3. Nitrous. (Or should I say NAAAAS?) Having no power adders means that it is naturally aspirated...

What about NHRA Pro Stock truck class? All Pro Stock Trucks are powered by a 358-cid eight-cylinder engine. And guess what?? They Run in the 7.70 range @ 175mph ON THE MOTOR ALONE!

and the one thing that NONE of you have mentioned yet: how much money has been spent modifying each of those cars... to get a FWD to run less than 12 seconds has to cost a ridiculous amount of cash. the mustang on the other hand is probly stock or slightly modified... i didnt see his time so i dont know, but i do know that little honda probly couldnt even run better than a 16 or 17 stock.

That looks more like an early 90s civic hatch. And probabably has a swap like an H22 or H23. But it's still civic. I'd never modify as civic I think it's just a waste of time and money because at the end everyone will just think that you're a ricer with a crappy ass car. My friend used to race his crx with nitrous, but he also had to change his engine pretty often. Good thing they were like $400 on a junkyard.

lol that mustang probly had the average bolt ons .. that civic was completely done up with i bet 10-15 psi .. put a 8-10psi blower on the mustang and throw on some MT slicks and see what happens

i can not beolieve that he lost to a crx one of the slowest hondas ever made. Got off the line late and still was beat if i were you i would get a bag over my head

ok i have a 06 281 gt mustang i have most bolt ons im not saying its the fastest but i hace raped camaro ss and trans ams every timed i raced them yes there r quicker but def a 03 cobra will run a mid 12 if the driver is good and a camaro will run a mid to high 13 stock i respect all cars if done right but dont say a camaro will run 12s stock thats bull shyt
