This is the truth on big rims or style in general:
Listen: its Their style! Just like anyone esle having their OWN style! Can you imagine if everyone is the same!? that would be equivilant to Robots.

If its a non-racing wheel thats over 20' its Not for racing!
So, I do agree, these big rims are for show only!
But don't go bashing,..cause you best to believe that someone could easily bash you, but then you'll notice that they are wrong!

But then you have a this W-Body (Pontiac GTP) here at the atlanta Motor Speedway killing other racers with 20's!!

Just one more example of the "style over substance" attitude that permeates the automotive scene today. If you spent a quarter as much on your rear axle as you spent on your rims, you'd have made it down the track twice as fast without breaking!!!

Plain and simple, all hating aside... If your going to try and race in a certain genre.... strip... bring something more fitting for that style of racing.

Well, here you have a car with an already weak rear end, then you go ahead and put rims that were never engineered for any other reason than because somebody thinks they look cool, and you have a recipe for this kind of event.... Like turning a ferris wheel with a broomstick...

i cant stand it when ppl take perfectly good cars and put huge rims on them. it makes it look like a 4x4 and it pi$$es me off. i am rebuilding a cutlass to be a street/strip MUSCLE car...but if u search for cutlass's u always see big rims or hydraulics. G@Y.
