ok all the spec V is is 1. carbon fiber wing, seats and interior 2. a low change in boost for high gear that will give maybe 10 hp. and 3. reworked suspension. keep in mind the spec v is better at braking, not handling. the corvette holds a 1.07 skidpad G while the gtr is only a .93. being able to brake so much later gives a big advantage in corner entry, but when its an all out acceleration through corners, corvette wins. look in any comparison done by professionals and they will say the same. the corvette handles better also.

Awesome vid... really cool to see these two square off. I'm amazed the GT-R held as close as it did... considering the 140ish HP difference, not to mention the weight difference. It was amazingly faster through the corners than the ZR1, just didn't have the engine for it. In all honesty, and as aforementioned, this isn't a fair comparison... the unreleased spec V should be the "equal" of the ZR1. The Z06 is much closer to being the "equal" in terms of power to weight ratio, intended performance category, etc.It'll be interesting to see the Spec V in action. And yes, it will be released in the US, to the guy below who said otherwise.

i think the vette is just a second faster..but that just me,the r35 is just not enough on the straights :)

great race but i want to see different drivers, i don't trust these people. zr1 has a lot better top end of course. i big draw back on the gtr. the v spec will be a good challenge and a epic race to watch them go at it again.

ZR1 definitly pulled everytime on the straights..the GTR holds a lot more speed in the corners but just doesnt have enough power to make it up

Too bad if TVR could get it's act together it could destroy them both.

you know whats funny? homeboy in the GTR is driving a Jap market version. who knows if thats a ringer or not. the vette we all know is a U.S. spec production model. and the spec v? forget it. it wont meet bin 5 epa emissions for 09-10 model years in the U.S. sorry buddy.
