Hey viper, let me help you with your mis-information regarding the caprice. 1st of all the intercepter is the p71 pkg. for the crown vic, which is made by ford not chevy, not a caprice. 2nd, the 9c1 which is the police pkg. caprice came in '94-'96 with both a 4.3 and 5.7 LT1 v8. I own a '95 9c1 w/LT1 eng. I only have an exhaust, pcm reprogram, and c/a/i, and I have yet to find an unmodded mustang gt that I can't beat or run even with. The only V6 camaro that ever gave me a good run was a '97 w/ 3800 v6 and 5spd. If that's what you have you might have a chance.
caprices and impalas i will admit are slow. I walked a police intercepter i n my v6 camaro. Both were 96s and i had 155k on the v6 and the caprice had 126k. My bro and i also have beaten lt1 impalas in his stock 98 gt.
let me restate what I just said Caprices/impalas are big slow and ugly yet old and young farts continue to drive them.
