haha 4x4 sucks, AWD ftw

the symmetrical awd system transfers the power to the wheels with the most grip left right front back and corner to corner and the the torque is split with the most torque at the front wheels when in the normal transfer mode and then u can make it even 50/50 or more torque to the rear for a more sporty rwd feeling but it is constantly going from one tire to the next for max grip using a couple sensors. there system works on the most hostile road conditions, including rallys, or just fun days at the beach or sand pitt. this comes standard on all Subaru's. i know from experience in the snow wit a 96 outback limited edition. it never spun with summer tires, and a plow truck with duals and stud's on all 4 tires and it was 4wd, but it was spinning like crazy subies they are amazing

i agree with 117677 but i got my sti for 20gs out the door, well they wanted 27995 i offered 24995 and they took it and i put 4 grand down so 20gs basically. best car i have ever driven.

everyone who bashes this car is a retard. at work i drive $100,000 cars all day, but i own an sti and it is THE BEST car ive ever driven. it holds it s own at 150 MPH (especially for a $34,000 car) when it comes down to it t his car is a marvel period. you cant beat it, not too expensive(for what i t has), not too odd looking(for almost being a super car), and reliable en ough to abuse on the weekends and drive to work the next day. this little car will go through anything that isnt much higher than its bumper(and alo t of thats that are higher) and will take it likes its nothing. it will dr ive through water as high as the headlights and NOT hydro lock(i would kno w). THIS CAR IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! oh and by the way the dif. between AWD and 4WD it that AWD if full time and 4wd you can turn on and off. alth ough you can transfer torque from the front to the rear the sti will alway s be AWD. dont hate, if your slower just work harder to be faster

lol awd is 4 wheal all time 4x4 has the capablity of moving all engine pow er to and one of the 4 wheels at anytime it is needed
