these engines rev to 10-12,000 with "special" parts.Just check Peter Naumann's Polo 16v.

Bloody idiots, this engine is very likely a fast cam'd 16v, has been monstrously lightened (they're pretty whippy in standard form), and is designed for racing use. I have a mk2 polo myself (the model car in the video) and the engines are very nimble on their own, all it would take is for the setup to encourage high revs and it would barrel through the revs like nobody's business.

That is DEFINITELY 10k rpm.

People here just think japanese cars can reach those kinda RPM.....i think that stupid too by the way....Even a flat 4 from a bettle with hi-perf par t can easily reach 9000 RPM...and its a flat4.....

i just went on google and i type honda s600 and the first website tells me that this engine reach 57hp at 8500 RPM...redline 9500RPM... Not 10500... plus going over 8500 doesn't mean anything because whole the horses are at 8500RPM...lol...
