CantSLOWDown - Did you just say a 6 speed automatic? lol, it was a 6 speed manuel, not auto. Typically any car running those times would run a 2 speed auto (powerglide) transmission.

The current 6 speed record holder is the viper...before that it was a supra...and they have been going back and forth for a while now. But in the end the viper is on top for now. I love this car thats sick I like all fast cars......And to the guy that said it was easier to get huge hp/liter numbers on smaller The same can be done if you destroke the viper engine and watch the inside mechanics of the motor meaning rod angles..blah blah blah......the viper could be a 8 or 9000 rpm motor making the 800 horsepower or 100hp/liter. Small motors like bikes and Hondas/Acuras/Nissan....whatever. These motors are pretty well close to maxed out N/A with their high static compression and very efficient breathing.....But there is a down side to that and its you trying to add power....it gets difficult.

Yes that was at the track rental at NPR last weekend. If he changes the gears to 3.07's pull a little weight out of the car (stereo stuff) and leave like a bandit, shift like I know he can, he might get 9's on 11psi with the pump gas mix. He just needs some practice with this all new setup......another 30-40 passes and he will be close to his peak e.t.
