what r u talking about man, the ZR1 is the high performance version like the acr is to the viper. and the vette was designed around the ring where as the viper wasnt. a little unfair for this contest i think. corvette always strives to be better then the viper.

They could design the Corvette to beat that time if they really wanted to. They didn't because if it was, it wouldn't be a very comfortable drive. They could even make a higher performance production-spec version. But that was not the goal of the Corvette design team. They even said so themselves. Besides, there are no standards or regulations on these time trials, This is simply what the car companies themselves put out as 'official' lap times. In all honesty, pretty much everybody's N'ring times should be disregarded until someone comes up with a true standard for their track times.

You will see ACR Vipers go faster yet.. Watch the video, theres questionable driving, misshifts and limiter raping throughout the lap.. Yet it still was good enough for the world record... The new ACR Viper is a beast. Period.
