lol leadfoot, u cant compare the veyron to the sledge hammer. The veyron is one of the highest quality machines ever made inside and out. The slegehammer certainly isnt. The veyron has a true sense of class, sophistication, you could go to a party in it, or a funeral. You cant say that about the sledgehammer. Once again, of course there are cars that can go faster, but are they as classy as this car, does it make you feel like a million dollars? Beefed up vettes, supra's etc certainly wont, lol. The veyron is a daily driver, a comfortable cruiser, reliable and becasue of all this, rich folk all want to be seen in one of these, not a sledge hammer or the shitty tuned cars you speak about, lol.

Funny but a little over the top. Don't poo poo the Sledgehammer.. it was doing 250 before the engineers for the Veryron were out of diapers and at a fraction of the cost. Veyron doing 140 in the quarter is nothing to sneeze at but there are many bikes and cars that will knock that over easily. Thanks for the laugh but don't forget reality.

Amazing car, not much on the looks though

Although visibility is poorer at night, the fact there is less traffic at this time means its perhaps safer to try high speeds than during the day. There are dangers trying these speeds no matter when/where/who but human beings and car fans will always try, its in our instinct to tread that borderline between fun/fear. Long live speed. :)

lexus there are not many wildlife accidents on the Autobahn and there is no different if you hit a deer at 150mph or 200mph. In 22years driving in Germany I have seen only one night wildlife accident on the Autobahn that was with a full grown wild boar. It wrecked a car completely running only 120km/h (~75mph)...
