i take the tailgate off for weight it weighs about 75-80lbs with slicks it's pointless to have weight on the truck that doesnt need to be there..

nice truck, I like the "no tailgate" mod, not being stupid or a jerk, but have you done a run with it on and closed and then off to see if it actually helps? I used to have a s-10 and when I left the tail gate down I got on average 1 mile per gallon more lol

i think the bottom end on the titan is fine it has a forged crank with 6 bolt main.. the CORR Titan with the motor built by Menards engine development used the stock crank/block and still got 750 NA rwhp outta the beast.. For sure im gonna stroke it 30 over and slap in some lower compression forged pistons and connecting rods though

Turbo's are great, but if you want to push 14 pounds or more of boost He will need to rebuild his bottome end which he doesn't want to do right now ( If I understand him correctly ) . The Vortech is the great way to boost HP on a stock engine. If you want to build a full on race engine then the turbo is fine, but even then they're not great for alot of street driving because of the heat they produce. I was told by more than one performance shop that if you plan to do most of your driving on the street then supercharging is the way to go.

im not even considering a vortech unit.. i want a turbo or nuthing.. 6-8psi isnt going to suit my needs i want big boost..

Im not sure if the Vortech comes with a custom programmer or not. I know that most fo their kits include better fuel pumps, sometimes bigger injectors and I thought they had a canned program. The kit for your truck is about $5700 or so. I think if your serious you should give them a call. Check out www.vortechsuperchargers.com you can check out the kit for your truck. I think You would really see a big improvement with one of these kits.
