the shelby has lower compression pistons, and manley rods and a forged crank......shes built for the abuse guys and the kb makes less heat than the stock blower with a custom tune i wouldnt worry about it and 740 hp on a supercharged car is beastly

it tunes them on 91 so i would think there is a little more tune in just using higher octane. Also lower compression pistons would help that problem tremendously. Heat is the number one cause of detonation and timing is very very critical in where the heat is created in the motor.

i.e.......lower compression pistons......ask Kenne that one.....
