Valve covers have nothing to do with how an engine runs. They are basically there to contain the oil that comes out of the rockers.

I think this is a combination of the carb and timing. Just because the carb is new doesn't mean its right. I have seen to many carb come out of the box with the floats not adjusted right.

Get the carb and timing right and that thing will be a monster!!! I want to see more of this truck!! Mmmmm...V8.....arghll (think Homer Simpson there) =D

nop no carb problem its brand new !

Its probably not runnin quite as well becasue u dont have the valvecovers on...u have to have combustion....could also be due to a carb problem....

sounds like its submerged in water.
