10 sec. car mabe he just can't shift and got that 18 sec. quarter mile. personally i think if he got out and pushed it would of been quicker

wrong. The movie cars were nonturbo--the turbo Eclipse sounds were all overdubs. There's a book written by the guy that ran the company that built all the cars for the first two movies, simply named "cars of the fast and the furious". it explains all.
