Got my first drift event coming up Nov. 24th (if it doesn't get canceled). Will have some vids up of that of course.
Yeah, FWD cars don't technically "drift", but i just call it drifting, whether it be a FWD car or not... i don't really care to get all technical about it. lol... my AE86 can really "drift" but it can barely because of the insane power! (sike! frigen 87hp...) but yeah i still gotta rip that e-brake like crazy and throw it in 1st to get any power... but i usually do it on dirt so that it acually drifts, on asphalt it basically just powerslides because it has no power...

yeah thats where i have seen your vids is on youtube. i've seen that one with ur 350z drifting, frigen sweet 350z... pretty good drifts too... i watched ur 350z drift video a few times too i think lol... i use a different name on YouTube, i guess i made that account when i really wanted to get a 240sx haha...
SilviaSlider93
maybe middle of next year i'm hoping to get an 02 WRX, so i will basically be out of drifting lol... nah cuz i want to buy an SR 240sx for my fun car too... but that will be a while after i get my WRX...

Speed has nothing to do with determining if he is powersliding or drifting. FWD cars can not "drift". Your friend was powersliding. He was just doing it at a high speed. Be it 20mph or 50mph, his drivetrain layout (FWD) would not alow him to do an actual drift. He ripped the ebrake and slid all the way through. That's still powersliding. Drifting....real drifting, is propeling the car through a corner or curve by "Powering" the car through it. Hence you are applying throttle, and controlling the car with the throttle. I have a 350z as well as the turbo tC. My Z if for drifting. You can initiate a "real" drift with multiple methods. I.E. Clutch kick, Power over, Feint....etc. E-braking is also an initiation technique. But in a FWD car, E-braking is the only thing you "can" do to make it go sideways. But you are not propelling the car, you are accelerating, and ripping the E-brake and using your momentum you gained, to carry yourself on through. That's not drifting.

Hope I am not coming off mean or anything. Just trying to help you understand the differences between powersliding and drifting.

Thanks for the tC comments. I only have like 2 vids on Streetfire of it. The rest are on Youtube (30 some odd vids). You can find me drifting the Z on my Youtube account as well. Compare my drifting vids to what your friend was doing....TOTALLY two different things.
yes i do... and i've seen thousands of videos of other FWD cars attempting to drift where they just rip the e-brake and slide not even through a corner, but my friend here with his tC can actually "drift" or "slide" if you want to call it through the whole corner... and at insane speeds. his entrance speed to a "recomended" 15mph turn was over 50mph... this dude is crazy...

he doesn't really drift his tC anymore though. the shear overwhelming factor of wrecking his new car is pretty intense. he just went through a crazy-a$$ phase where he drifted the snot out of it. lol... he drag races it a lot now. check out my newest drag video i posted or go to his account and check out some of his posted drags...

i've seen some of ur vids with da turbo tC and its pretty sick...
