Um, the 540i is governed TO 155..so unless your mom took it off have fun going into what is most likely an overdrive 5th gear and continue to stay at 155 or possibly even slowing down...

Its got more torque than that, 330+ and it is underrated too

The best thing about the 540i is the torque. It has at least 310 lbft of torque. My mom has a 2000 540i and those things just keep pulling. I've hit 155 mph in it and it was still in 4th gear. It had another gear left. LOL.
