the only thing that the viper has on the vette is top end because of the gears they leave in them never once has a hennessy viper smoked a lingenfelter vette in the quarter

i'm a huge vette fan but even i will admit that a TT Hennessey viper should in all likelihood smoke a felter vette

What the funk and wagnell's was that? I know fer a fact that HENNESSY would have owned that LINGENFELTER. This coming from a Corvette enthusiast.

i am a huge fan of Both Lingenfelter and Hennessey both make fast cars ..but as a fact i know that this race was either bum to a sucky driver or that wasnt a Hennessey viper it would have been much closer ..i do recall a 2001 C5 Vette built by Lingenfelter just before he went into a coma after recking a drag car it was driven by his son..i believe and it smashed through the1/4 mile in something close to a 8.50 at over 157 mph and thrashed out of the hole to 60 mph in a mere 1.98 sec fact..it was in a Corvette Fever Magazine in 2001 it was on the cover ..but since Lingenfelters death he corvettes have been made poorly..i remeber going through alot of old articles and in every super car contest he was either 1st or 2nd and right there with him Hennessey...

oh and the vette isn't stock, it's lingenfelters tt package which i believe is good for 900-1000 hp

i'm pretty sure the viper is tt, its an old video. notice how the viper keeps up once it gets rolling pretty good. just bad suspension/tire choice
