Why are you gonna be sitting on the side of the road when a car is going 100 mph+??? Thats where most of the deaths come from in street racing. The driver can go to a drag strip and be any more danger then he would be in a street race.

not all the accidents are street racing... the news portrays it as but its mostly not. most accidents are dui or under the influence of ther substa nces. dont believe me sit in court a day and tell me how many cases come up with those compared to street racing. 1000 to 1? seriously... beside s in 04 more people were killed by falling coconuts than street racing. p lus common sence tell you not to stand at the far side where cars are goin g tripple digits. the parents of the dead(?) child should be put in jail for delinquency of a minor. btw i live in hawaii too i know whats goin on local.

Sux that specators often get in harms way, but most should know better. Its common sense not to stand infront of the sidelines where the cars will be racing. Ive been to many street races and have never seen anyone line up ahead of the cars. No idea how the heck the driver lost control of it, but o well- sorry for the kid though. I dont think street racing will ever st op, its been around since the automobile has been invented, there was raci ng in the 30s, and theres gonna be street racing 30 years from now just de al with it.
