Duracrap and PowerJoke...

Straight six naturally balanced, 24V engines have proven to be far stronger and superior to most other designs.

Dodge got it right to go to a company with the kind of diesel experience like Cummins... Ford and Chevy tried to fab their own catchy nametags on what are essentially their own cheap V-8 blocks.

Cummins.. more power, more effiencient design, less moving parts, stronger mains, more bearings on the common crankshaft, easier modifications, more available engine space.

no the dura max wasnt a 6 speed.it was a 05 4x4 taking off in 4 high,mine is 5.9l 6 speed 06 at the time only had 5 hundred miles on it. my dodge just runs good it is one of rare good running trucks. it gets 24mpg highway i got 14 pulling my 24ft enclosed car trailer this weekend!!!!

the dodge is mine,it has 6speed,5.9l .at the time all it had was a superchips programmer.the chevy has chip,cold air kit,and exhaust. and was taking off in 4high,he had me by 4 lenghts before i caught him on that pass. i have beaten all the duramax's i have run. this past weekend i smoked the same truck with both of us pulling 24 ft car trailers,so all you duramax believers im sorry!! but the truth hurt's!!!!

Guys, seriously, that Dodge isn't stock unless its the new 6.7/6-speed, otherwise the D-max would win, and I'm a Dodge man. The Dodge has by far the better tow rig, it has more tq down low where it counts. The Dodge will out-pull any Chevy or Ford all day long, look at who wins 90% of all truck pulls.

ditto, duramax everytime. diesels are work horses not race trucks. chevy owns tthat market and ford and dodge know it.
