I agree with domestic dude. The LS6 is a better flowing motor than the LS2. The LS2 carried over some traits but the LS6 stock for stock will win a drag race.

It's weird how the vettes have the speedo reading to 100 where all the speed indicators are really close together. Once the car hits 100 and the indicators are spaced further apart, it seems like it slows down. Almost like it's on purpose.

My Vette is not a Z51. When it comes down to what car will win in a race, a 03 Cobra, a C5Z or a C6, it's more a drivers race, because all of these cars are in the low to high 12's from the factory.

It depends whos behind the wheel, if you're racing from a stop, or from a roll and what type of transmission you have. How high the from a roll speed is. A lot of factors. The Vettes are a lot better in aerodynamics over a 03 Cobra. So stock for stock, the Vette will(or should) win on the street, assuming similar drivers.

That video your talking about is questionable since the 01 Z06 only had 385hp and 385 lb ft of torque. That means that although its lighter than a C6 it would be giving up 15 hp an 15 lb torque. I think that it may not have been stock,or the C6 driver was in the wrong gear. That race should not be a kill either way.

One thing everyone forgets to mention is that if you got a C6 Vette with and LS2 and the Z-51 performance package, then you get the exact same gearing as the C5 Z06. The C6 is still a little heavier and gives away 5 HP but it also has an extra 5 lbft of torque. So a good Driver in a LS2 Z51 will run pretty much the same as a C5 Z06. I don't know if this car is a Z51 prepped car or not. If it's not a Z51 car should be a few ticks faster due to closer gearing.

yellow98cobra, they chose to use the name "ZR1" instead of "blue devil". It's an LS3 with an Eaton M120 supercharger mounted on top. It's conservatively rated at 620HP, it probably makes more like 650HP. But in either case, a simple tune couples with full exhaust will put it well over 700HP, at the very least.
