i have ridden the the 06 GSXR600 and they have massive top end powerband and pull. The gearing on the CBR means it loses its top end and would have lost stock to stock anyway.

I have a GSX-R 600 myself, and I ride with 4 guys that have the CBR600RR, and I can usually beat them. None of us have stock bikes either. I have a K&N air filter, 1 tooth down in the front, added 3 in the back, I have the tri oval carbon fiber Yoshimura exhaust system, and the power commander. It flies for a 600! Of course top end is not too to impressive but it gets there quick!

Mike those are dry weight claims made by the manufactor. We both know manufactors like to tell little white lies about their bikes. I got my figures from a supersport shootout that weighed all the bikes at the same time on the same scale.

5a793693, a stock K6 600 weighs 354 pounds while a stock '05 CBR600RR weighs 361. I know that honda isn't stock by the description but just pointing that you're way off on the weight specs.

This race had more to do with RIDER then the bikes. The 06 gsx is actually the heaviest of the 600's (suzuki 407 honda 398) and they are all ranging from 105-110 hp depending on dyno and engine tolerances. Can't go wrong with any of them they are all great :).

unfortunatly my car (cam'd/intercooled/supercharged GTP) and my buddies 500whp supra wasent a fast enough of a chase car so that was the only video that i could get, but the gsxr600 pulled both times.

the 06 gsxr has more power and is lighter than the 05 CBR...plus i weight 40lbs less than the honda rider
