Caliban, from the comment you've made I would say you haven't driven one either. At least not in that country. Notice the simple fact that this should be a right drive truck. All he had to do was glance out the window to see the car (albeit a little down and to the right)! Truck was not paying attention for sure.

im sure he didnt die , as divider absorbed a lot of energy , and europen trucks are much safer for cars than us trucks (much lower bumpers and side rails )

Judging from the three previous comments, none of you have driven a truck that size. There's a HUGE blind spot right where that car was. Not saying he's not at fault, but I'm sure he never saw the car. By the same token, we all need to maintain awareness of the situation around us. If you see a big truck pinned in traffic, odds are he's going to be looking for an opportunity change lanes/pass, just as we would in our cars.....
