Well it was sarcasm and the point was that lenght of piping does not matter if every thing is set up correctly. Thanks for the compliments and other wise.WildBill

is this a joke? the benefits of a front or rear mount turbo setup depend on the application. no matter where you mount the turbo, your going to have alot of pipe, whether its exhaust pipe or charge pipe. whats better, 20ft of exhaust pipe or 20ft of charge pipe? also, the exhaust pipe after the turbo is barely a restriction at all if its big enough.
for the most part, rear mount turbos suk. here is why...in order to make less restriction on a turbo car, you need to make the exhaust bigger diameter. in most v8 applications, your trying to make 2 exhaust pipes bigger that run side by side. so, where do you run the charge pipe? theres no room! you have to use smaller exhaust and charge pipe to fit everything or run the charge pipe through the interior which is gai.
that being said, there are alot of rear mount set-ups making good power. but there are twice as many front mounts making even better power.

ego that is true turbos use the energy from the heat and the sound waves from combustion, thats why the turbine and exhaust piping has to be sized correctly to take into account these factors

I understood that the temperature of the exhaust gas had a lot to do with the flow... So having the turbo too far from the exhaust ports increased spool time, but I don't really understand the dynamics and just wanted to offer some reasoning behind the criticism. Thermodynamics and heat transfer is not exactly easy math.

they have the intercooler ( water to air ) in the cockpit next to the driver, I have to finish the install and tuning, I have a pair of gt3076 so they should not have much lag , plus its a heavy car and a V12
