The trans suck in GM trucks worked in chevolet dealer 6 years and most of the transmissions were done, was from there tuck line.

if it's any consolation... it's got a nice rumble when the RPMs are dying back down :P

Ooops.. yea, the 4T80 is what I meant. My friend has an L67 car with 4T65E.. I get them mixed up. I've seen people swap 4T80s into these half tons and they are awesome. Raptor? I'll take two.

613918, I think you mean 4L80E, the 4T80E is front wheel drive. But your right it might be a needed upgrade. If your are going to stick with that trans check out the Raptor at PATC www.transmissioncenter.net its probably the toughest out there.
