Did you just say traction was better in a fwd than rwd? I dont have wheel hop with my car. It launches fine.

You swapped that motor, good for you....you must have money to spend on your car.lol....Do you have the turbo setup or just N/A, I assume you are already putting out enough power so I will let you know a few basics about hooking up.

That car is RWD, so I am not as well informed about those(mostly deal with FWD). One thing you should look into is transfering weight to the trunk area. Like your battery, not to mention stiffening up your suspension along with lowering kit(lower in back than front) sway bars. These are all basic upgrades needed to lay power down on any vehicle. Other than that I don't really know what to tell you. Good luck with your ride, and make a short video of the car showing the motor and performance, those cars can be very quick with a good turbo setup:) Thanks for the comment.

You have to factor in at that point inlet temps on colder air.....Heat is the number one cause of detonation colder intake temps means you can run more advanced timing......Kinda like why people buy intercoolers its safer for the motor...the main reason intercoolers where made for turbos. timing in itself is power to a point.....

Good information from (BigJon3475)....you are right. All I stated was that the vehicle may not seem to perform as well the higher you get in elevation(kinda like running on lower octane), you yourself stated that if tuned at lower altitude then raced at higher altitudes with same tuning you will notice less power due to running rich because of thinner air.

Also I don't use the Ecm to control boost, nor do most other turbo owners, many tuners may not even think about altitude as being a factor, this is where the stories probably start about being slower at higher altitudes.

TRUE.......If infact we kept the stock setup, no tuning, the ecm/MAP Sensor should be able to compensate and put out nearly the same power no matter what altitude.

TRUE......If the car was tuned at lower altitude with more dense air then re-tuned to run on thin air at higher altitude it should run fairly equal.

However in most cases the denser the air the better the performance, this goes back to the question of: Why does my car feel faster in the colder temperatures, because colder air is more dense......the ecm tries to comply to the temperature change but still most cars will feel faster in colder dense air rather than hot summer air.

The airplane fact is a good one, a lot of people wouldn't have even thought about that. Not even me.lol.
Very good facts brought up, you seem to be quite well informed, keep up the good work:)

However if you adjust by using air fuel ratios all this is pointless youll be adjusting to the amount of oxygen in the air @ whatever altitude you are in......So when people say well I ran 12 seconds in the mile high city try that in your 11 second sea level car....this would only be true if you took a car that was tuned @ sea level then took it to denver to run itll be way rich from not having as much oxygen in the air and it would obviously be slower then. If tuned in those atmospheric conditions it would be the exact same if tuned @ different altitude. I know all this is a long azz story sorry......But this was the whole reason why turbos where invented so planes could fly at 30,000 feet otherwise they wouldnt make enough power with the obviously low pressure that would be at 30,000 feet...practically zero psia.
