I love both of these cars and would be proud to won either. If everyone really wants to compare...you compare by letting each run on their own and see who has the fastest lap time. This track is full of turns, few straights and frankly not lots of room to pass. These cars and drivers are obviously very tuned and practiced. I would like to see a video straped to the Porsche with the Evo out in front and see if he can put space between. I need to make more money so I can get out and have some of this fun!!!

LOL.....Yeah your right evo is right up there with Porsche......Pull your panties from your crack now and relax. You seem to want to add more than to what I'm typing. I guess you missed me saying he was driving good.....what 4 or 5 times? This is a dumb debate. Nice video OP sorry to cause the canexican some heart ache and pain with my opinion as neither one of us were there.

What does Porsche's racing legacy in Le Mans have to do with this particular race? So I guess that just because a manufacturer, or those sponsoring a particular vehicle, choose to enter in a particular racing event, that automatically means that those who don't compete, can't ever compete? Give me a break.

Face it, the Evo is a built racing machine. You say, "Porsche trumps the Evo." Good comparison there chief. A car manufacturer's racing legacy compared to a car. It actually depends on what you consider racing...last time I checked, rally was the most difficult racing in the world. Which is something that Mitsubishi has excelled at since the 70's. Porsche has never participated, but that doesn't mean I'm going to say that they are less of a company, or build a less capable car, just because they haven't participated in a particular racing series. Just because the Evo was originally intended to rally, doesnt mean you can't build it for tarmac. A Lancer Evolution currently holds the fastest time attack record around Tsukaba Circuit...2 seconds faster than a Skyline GTR (a regular competitor in the JGTC circuit).

Lastly, AWDFTW was picking the optimal lines around the track, not "jumping" the corners. Whether or not the Porsche could hold those same lines is only known to the Porsche driver. So give credit where its due and stop generalizing what a car should and should not be able to do based on a manufacturer's past racing heritage.
