I guess the cat resonates it a bit..IDK. Its a Magnaflow which seemed louder than the stock one from the getgo.

I don't know what it is, but out 4.3L's sound way different. Both have shortie headers, both have custom Y,s Both have single Flowmaster Super 40s.... the only difference is you have a cat and I don't. Crazy man, crazyCheers ~Mykk

A Super40 Flowmaster, a custom Y-pipe at about $240 with tax and it deletes the 2003 pre-cat. I have a Magnaflow cat, but only because the OEM one was bad.It was around $200. If yours is OK, keep it. The GM cats flow well enough. But the pre-cat is in the way of a good Y-pipe setup =)

Man that sounds good for a 4.3 V6. I need to get my Z to sound like that! How much do you have stuck into the exahust(y pipe, muffler, and headers)?
