it's not the sound that matters people it's how it moves down the road. with his mods he should be have 0-60 times in under 6 sec which is faster then most of your lil 6 cyl danger ranger fans could dream of. I would know I own a 1997 s10 4.3 almost same mods jus different brands and trust me thier fast enough so all the haters need to shut thier mouth and realize. Nice truck man idk if your a member or what not but possibly check out mys10.net if you have any questions or anything, it's a great s10 disscusion site.

Sorry, my old posts don't look like they make sense anymore. They used to be replys to some other idiots posting goofy crap about your truck, but they changed the setup in here.S10forum ftw! :)

Sorry you 'wasted' your time. It was meant to be a sound clip intended for other S-series and 4.3 enthusiest to have an idea of what exhaust wiil sound like in particular to this muffler setup. Thats why I posted what exactly it had. Its hard to know what a certain type of muffler will sound like, and to judge it on another vehicle (like a V8) isnt a good representation. I put it here so I could help out other enthusiest on a S-series truck forum in which I am a moderator. I like to help others. I posted another one with a new y-pipe after this one, which is also helpful since it changed the note. I didnt spend as much as most would think. I have friends in alot of areas of businees including exhaust. I have a 1986 TransAm with a 355ci 420+HP motor. So I am fully aware that Im not going to be modding up this truck to be a untouchable hotrod. But rather it is my daily driver to get me here and there with decent milage, decent performance as well as haul stuff for the TA and my Quad. Since I bought the truck new in 2003, I havent had a single issue with it and its never been to the shop. Its been a great truck! I know and respect everyones opinions including my own. I dont mind spending a few dollars here and there to get a 'sound' I like, get some more ponies out of it or to add a little subtle, personalized flash to it. I would like to correct one thing.....the 4.3 in this year had 180HP and 240TQ in the 'X' code engine and the 'W' code had 190HP and 245TQ. Not the 200HP as posted B4. But none-the-less, its more than 200HP with all the mods. And its still rockin cast manifolds, stock cam, stock heads and internals. These will do 250 easily with cam swap along with the other 'outter' mods. Heads are pretty efficient Vortec design and dont need much by way of massaging with the 260 or 270 cam. These 4.3s are very strong, have SBC design and heritage and loads of untapped potential. Since the S-trucks are as close to a performance vehicle they were ever put in, it has been overlooked for many years. It takes strong grassroots enthusiest to put it to the test. So far it has passed and IMO its potential hasnt been tapped out. THX for the replies and enjoy your passion =)!!
