Speaking of power....I just read where TRD is developing a dealer-intalled, factory warranteed superchager for the 5.7 I-Force V8. By my math, that would put the Tundra at close to 500 horses and 500+ lbs. ft. of torque.

But those Tundras, when the aftermarket works out the bugs man they are still gonna be a force to be reckoned with I cant believe how fast they are tri-Y headers from the factory!? 16% drivetrain loss! Man that was a smart move, the TRD guys were on top of things with this truck,And I HEARD that the 09 Dodge Hemi 5.7's are gonna be rated a 400hp but I think more like real world 385-395 before the drivetrain loss I also heard Nismo Nissan guys are gonna be more involved with the new Titans other than just cosmetics everyones running scared of the Tundra I dont blame them

I heard Ford rumors like a supercharging performance option for the 4.7 revised cams and better flowing intakes and stock exhaust and maybe a 351!? engine platform!?I'm not a Ford fan but that would be great

haha. Well when company's compete EVERYBODY wins. So hopefully the new HEMI will have a 6.1 motor as an option as well as the 5.7. But does anybody have an idea what FORD is going to do?

If you are a Domestic truck guy and have that "buy American truck" mentallity then the Tundra is not for you.. If you can think with your head, then this Tundra is a better truck.

Theres a rumor going around that Chevy is defiently looking to the LS7(427 vette motor platform close to 450hp)and making the 400hp LS2 standard in their trucks and revised chassis and gearing to answer the Tundras challenge I talked to a GM service tech manager. And Dodge defiently is talking about making a SRT-8 Hemi 6.1 Ram bumped up to 450hp(to take the place of the SRT-10) and new tranny and gear ratios, and the 5.7 Hemi will still be available and thats gonna get a kick up to 385hp rumored, dont quote me though seeing is believing
