The Lock Right in my 67 was similar, but mostly it stayed locked up and I could hear/feel the inside tire scratching in a tight turn. Finally, YEARS later, it loosened up and was actually ratcheting in tight turns. I thought a Trac-Lock would be better, I WAS WRONG!!! The Lock Right is going back in this spring!!

Its hardly noticeable on the road. The sharp changes in the slack or slop between acceleration and deceleration will create a loud BANG! Sounds like a ujoint but this is just the locker doing what lockers do. Locking and unlocking. You will have to learn to drive it differently. The biggest change in driving habits is to ease threw that slack spot. It just takes a secant and away you go. Yes at a low speed on a tight corner you will hear it clink.But it does not drive me nutz like I have heard about other lockers which is one of the reasons I went with the Lock-Right. The cost being around 350.00 and the ease of installation and the benefits you get from it. Am I happy with it? You bet!I hope this helped and answered your question. Rich
