my stock silverado 2500HD 6.0L that weighs 6600lbs ran 15.8 bone stock, with exhaust/intake/custom tune im running 15.33 @ 91.. remember its a 3/4 ton crew cab truck that can tow 20,000+lbs.. i would be embarrased to run that slow

I dont want to get into any arguments, however, yea there are more, i won't use "rice", but young kids who can afford a decent import and b ut have no money for serious mods, so they end up just putting a muffler, and intake, which is quite pathetic, however , i been to circuts not 1/4 b ecause my 1990 civic/h/b is track spec, but would still do a nice 13 sec o n 1/4, only prob since, its a track car, the gear rations are very very sh ort, by the time i hit 5th, i would top out at like 87.5 mph. and if i don 't lag on 5th, then i might top out before the 1/4 end line. i however l ove that car, its is amazing and really fun, but for street i use a stock domestic, and looking, to sell it and buy a crazy azz 5.7 camaro ss, or a 2002 mustang GT, with fully built N/A engine and later blower and a KB or Vortech SC.

I really wish these rediculous cars would get off the track. Ties up valua ble space that real cars could be racing. I don't care if its an import o r domestic, but our local dragstrips are filled to the teeth with this kin d of Crap. Nothing but 17 second cars all day, and you'll be lucky to get 3 runs in a day due to them. If you want to be serious about drag racing , then go get a car that actually performs, or make the car you have perfo rm.
