eh, take it for what you will. In response to all the comments made about this video in general, I would like to say a few things. 1st, there is a good reason people buy VW's. Unfortunately, its hard to explain unless you have owned one. I was brought up on old school muscle, and its still where my roots are, but I can't help but love my VW. There's something about it. 2) The GTI had no chance from the start. Everyone should know that. Come on, it comes with 180 hp from the factory. Even with that software and the rest of the mods listed, that car is most likely making between 190 and 210whp. 3) there are some badass VW's out there. Just look up VRT's and there are 1.8t's making power in the high 6's to the wheels. There are hundreds of 1.8t's making 300+whp. Just thought I'd add to the other side of the argument ; )

Agreed on VW's being slow....overpriced......and chik cars.

Golf GTIs should be bought as an all rounder not as a drag car.They are one of the slowest turbos you can get that's why owners have to mod the living day lights out of them to get some decent speed.
I own a NA Civic Type R and even I'm not afraid to take on a stock GTI.

I don't really understand the allure and following that VW's have...is it just because they are German? They aren't really fast at all and I don't think they've ever really looked very good...except for the previous generation of R32. Still though, big waste of money in my opinion.
