Yeah, the speeds certainly outraced the safety standards in the group b era... lost a lot of good drivers in those few short years. This is some horrific footage!

This happened in 1986. Surer survived because he was thrown from the car and Wyder died instantly.

thats bad. iv known about this footage for a while but its taken me a few weeks to click on it. so sad to see a group b original burn like that. suppose it was just one of those risks the drivers took back then....what i would give to take that same risk tho. i love group b. was definately born 2 decades late....
