Im not surprised. Grand Nationals are beatable. Remember, the camaro is rediculously light for the amount of metal it is. The GN is heavy. When I had my first 69 camaro, it had a 355. 11:1 compression. Camel hump heads with port and polish. Regular Edelbrock Performer Intake. Stock Springs. with a .485 lift cam. Stock manifolds (No Headers.) Holley 650 DP, Holley Blue FP and 2.5 Flowmaster 50 series exhaust. TH350 with shift kit. Spooled rear end with 3.73 gears. anyone will tell you this setup is a granny car engine. It didnt even lope. It idled nice and smooth like a Cadillac. Boought the car like that in 1999 for $1850 . Car ran 13.30s all day the next week when i took it to track and it didnt even look or sound like it.

I thought that was a GN. I am surprised he took you ... those gn's can be low 11 second cars with supporting mods (bolt ons) and a decent turbo ---
