Not bad on the price. The part that's costing me is the labor, a v-mount instead of FMIC and the rebuild w/ new housings. Did you have a shop do the work? It also depends on where you live as far as costs go..
first of all, it wasn't a typo. I ran @ only 5psi because the wastegate i put on was for temporary. It only has a 6psi spring in it. By the way, it cost me about 7-8k total for everything. Half Bridge port, turbonetics turbo, exhaust manifold, fuel pump, ECU, injectors, Front Mount, FPR, BOV and other little things.
So take off 5 grand for rebuild + street port w/ install. You're still around the 8-10grand range and your stuck w/ your old engine. I see it as my engine has 64k on it and its not ported so why not get it rebuilt and ported while everything is already out. saving some labor money in the long run.
You still haven't factored in a rebuild (new housings, etc.) w/ a mild port. that is'nt cheap. Also i do not have sufficient garage space or the proper tools so I am having a mechanic i trust do the labor. So you have to factor in labor cost aswell. Btw rx7store's GT35r is not a true T4. I bought my GT35r T4 1.06 from A-Spec. Also, I've heard many people on the forums say it costs 11grand+ at least and a lot of them don't start from stock. One guy payed 15grand and he already had a VMIC. I'm also factoring in a new clutch. I went w/ rx7stores new V-mount (which comes w/ a modified Koyo Radiator)and that isn't cheap as well. I don't think I'm getting ripped off for what I'm getting. I plan on tracking the car and I want it to run as cool as possible. then of course there's shipping costs on all those parts. it adds up, fast.
