The Shelby gt that was tested against the STi is only 319hp, what did you expect. It wasn't the Shelby GT500.

I wasn't only talking about the interior... If you knew anything about 4th generation F-bodies you'd know that nearly the entire exterior of the car (minus the quarter panels) is fiberglass and plastic. The curb weight of a 3000GT is in the neighborhood of 3700-3800 pounds. That's hundreds of pounds heavier than either a Mustang or Camaro, or most American V8's you'll run into shy of a GT500 or new Dodge/Chrysler. The GT500 no doubt is a fat pig. No arguments from me on that one, it can't turn for its life. In acceleration and top speed though, the STi doesn't have a prayer.... Which is what I think matters since you're bragging about your car(s) winning on the drag strip. When an STi goes a 12.3 bone stock (like a GT500) I'll think otherwise.
