these cars are not just hard to start but to actually drive. they need to be driven very fast in order for the brakes to heat up enough to actually work and fast enough, meaning very fast for the car to generate enough downforce to actually be able to handle the turns well. Hammon from TopGear had to try for about 3 hours before he could complete 2 laps in one-course he was reminded a few times that the car cost about 5 million dollars-no pressure!

plus the newer models have the clutch on the steering wheel which i can imagine is a bit tricky. plus uve prolly gotta get the revs up to like 7k since they rev to almost 19k. insane and unbelievable technology

The reason they are hard to get going is because the F1 cars have Anti-Stall systems installed and have to give the car a load of revs to get moving, which is the total opposite of a normal car.
