C17A765e....where do you get your logic? Heard of power to weight? Or aerodynamics? Read much?

not really throw a set of bald 175/35/R16 all seasons on a 1000 hp vette and line it up against a 500 hp chevelle with slicks... well for the quarter mile anyways..and see who wins

if that vette has twins on it, that porsche would dissapear behind it pretty quick.

and if the vette was twin turbo'd, this wouldn't even be a race, just a whompin! Considering the vette would be close to 1000hp!

1quik4doorGA... I can promise you the intake temps on the vette are MUCH MUCH lower, vette isn't turbo'd. Turbo's add massive heat to the intake temps, yes the intercooler helps drop the temps, but still not as cool as a naturally aspirated engine...especially at 150mph!

looks like turbo lag owned the 911 from slow speeds

I knew that porsche would win. It had alot to do with the temperature outside to. The porsche has different intercoolers and it was 95 degrees outside and the zo6 was stock, and the intercoolers dramatically drop the incoming air temp which creates more power while the z06 is sucking in all the outside air which at 95 degrees doesn't help a 7 liter v8 cool down very much.

who cares a factory stock vette against a modded porsche... id say it did pretty damn good... throw a twin turbo kit intercooler and ecu on that vette and i bet it would beat that porsche
