as soon as the cops had air support, he was screwed. it's easy to outrun the cops on the ground, the bmw bikes are a little tough but the crown vics are easy. as soon as the air support comes though, it's all over. the freeway's actually the worst place to run to, even if you're only being chased by a crown vic

That was pretty good. i would have to agree. That 02 gsxr tops out at 157, man my zx-6 tops out at like 175-180.

Some car chases get away from the choppers but they always catch up as they just increase altitude and wait for the vehicle to slow down for traffic.

That bike was probably a 600 as it didn't look like it pulled as hard in top end as a litre bike nor did it have alot of trouble keeping the front wheel down.
Headlights are hardwired on you can make a switch them but few people do that...

Best way to get away from the popo at night(or day as thermals still work to a point) while chopper still ain't there is to go somewhere nice and hot, like a factory or go somewhere where heat will not be seen (underground..) and make sure ground units have not seen you.

Here in NZ you have about 5-10 mins before the chopper is on the chase (if it can get there and is not busy) so you have a fair chance of running as long as you leave the area quick and hide up/slow down... and you don't need a 600/thou to do it as the cop cars here are pretty slow (v6 holdens..).

most 1000cc bikes can go up to 300kph

oh yeah btw... the only real chances to get away from a helicopter is going near an airport where it takes about ten minutes for them to get clearance, if u cant get away in ten minutes u deserve to go to the booty house....

wow, there are a lot of dumb comments on here, by most who probably dont even know how to ride a bike, let alone how to get away from cops, you cant turn off your headlights, ur not just going to bust out a pair of night vision "googles", u cant just walk into a hospital like nothing happened, and lastly cop cars are actually pretty fast and have heavy duty suspension, and most 600's only go about 165 with stock gears and 1k's are limited to 189 now this is stock of course, but even if u chip it ur looking at may be only just under 200( not to mention how fast yur gas would go down), facts are if a copter is after you, ur pretty boned and should give up, now cop cars are a dif. story...all u gotta d is go in between traffic where they cant fit and hit a bunch of side streets... :) tested and proven right there :)
