Oh be sure the straight is long enougg. It was driven on a german Autobahn nearly Munich. The reason for the stopping @ 6000 r/pm is that the CPU is not the final one. It has sound if you switch to Windows Media Player. BTW, I don't think this car even maxed out in the video as the straight away wasn't long enough.
This car may be able to do crazy speeds on a long 5 mile straight like the used to test the Veyron.

Congratulations, you're officially the fastest Passat guy on this site now. There was a VR6 station wagon that had the record with 270 km/h on here, then there was a Passat W8 delimited with the 280 km/h record on here, but you're on a different level. You should get a GPS because you don't know how fast you're going. You could be doing 290, 300, or even 310 km/h, nobody really knows.
Passats are very fast cars for their power. They're not as fast a Barbus Rocket, or a BMW M6, but pound for pound(horsepower for horsepower) Passats are the fastest sedans around.
